DWP Funeral Claims

The Department for Work & Pensions can help with the cost of funerals in two ways.

The deceased’s next of kin / responsible person can submit a claim by using the claim form SF200. This is available from the link above or by visiting the local Jobcentre Plus office. In addition the DWP can consider a crisis / immediate loan to help with costs associated with making the funeral arrangements.

A typical successful Funeral claim (SF200) may result in a payment of about £1000.00 (this will vary with your personal circumstances).
