Coffins

Please note that all our coffins and non metal caskets are supplied by professional companies and are tested suitable for purpose by FFMA or similar.

Coffins of 6’2″ in size and greater or of a specialist dimension may attract additional cost.

Coffins of a substantial weight may need additional construction and additional coffin bearers may attract additional cost.

Coffins requested to be sprayed a specialist colour will attract additional cost of approx. £120.00.

Please note that any special offers however presented (verbally, written, leaflet drop, virtually, perceived, etc.) have a limited time and may be amended or withdrawn at any time without prior notice. Pre-payment funeral plans also require a personal meeting and A. Abbott & Sons preparing all the application forms. We can not accept any application form completed by customers or any third party agents. This is to ensure that we fully understand funeral wishes and that they can actually be performed at the time of need. No discount offers can be used with our “Simplified” funeral arrangements, as these funeral arrangements are already discounted.

Please note that we use a variety of suppliers for our Coffins, Caskets, Urns, Coffin Furniture. Coffins have been tested to meet construction and emission requirements.

Please note that Golden Charter Trust currently manages our “Independent Way” funeral plan monies. Perfect Choice Funeral Plans have provided these services in the past. Occasionally other pre-paid funeral plan companies ask us to undertake work on an ad-hock basis.

Please note that Higham Bakery, Market Square, Higham Ferrers and other national shops supply us with our catering goods.
